Made from high performance ASL42 stainless steel, they provide the strength and wear resistance necessary for optimum performance in high temperature and corrosive environments.

Precision ground to very fine tolerances and with typical ring hardness in the range 45-52 HRC, the strength of Cross plunger rings is far superior to cast iron equivalents, enabling high efficiency production and reduced machine down-time.

Available in sizes from 25 to 125mm diameter (1” to 5”), standard rings have step cut joints whilst other gap arrangements can be provided to meet specific needs. The most popular sizes are held in stock for fast worldwide delivery.

Plunger rings are manufactured using the same facilities and precision processes as the Cross range of high-volume automotive industry turbocharger sealing rings, maintaining the highest quality level possible and meeting the IATF16949 automotive industry standard.

Cross provides complete support for ring applications. With a wealth of experience in ring making and design, the company can assist with rings for any application, including marine engines, compressors, off-road equipment, excavators, shaft mechanical seals, combustion engine exhaust seals, turbochargers, turbo generators and turbines.
