The NPL (National Physical Laboratory) have demonstrated that time keeping can be done to the accuracy of one ten-millionth of a second per century. The counter used to measure this, with incredible accuracy, is a frequency comb.

Laser Quantum has recently launched a 1GHz mode spacing frequency comb, fully stabilised using Menlo Systems XPS800-E electronics, for a complete system providing high resolution results. The taccor comb is an exceptional supercontinuum with typ.1µW per mode and easy access to VIS/NIR ranges.
