This reflects the company’s increasing focus on developing export markets for its expanding range of UK-manufactured products aimed at acute hospitals, nursing / residential homes and community care environments.

Sidhil is committed to key strategic targets built around developing export markets to contribute to continued growth and investment. To this end, the company has dedicated significant resource to supporting and growing the export function.

Investment in R&D resulting in the design and production of superb products cost effectively produced in the UK means that Sidhil products are now increasingly established in developed overseas markets, competing successfully against globally operating European and US giants.

This growing success in export markets also been facilitated by the company’s flexible, modern UK manufacturing capabilities, which enable Sidhil to tailor products swiftly and accurately to meet individual needs, responding to variations in specification from country to country.

At Medical Fair Asia, Sidhil will be looking to raise this developing profile for excellence in design and manufacture, showcasing their emerging UK brand within the Asia Pacific market. The company will also be meeting with distributors already operating in this market, as well as end user customers looking to identify new sources for high quality healthcare products.

In support of these objectives, Sidhil will have a selection of products on show on Stand No 2B07. These include the company’s versatile Innov8 iQ ward bed, featuring split side rails to expand the bed’s intrinsic functionality, making it relevant for specialist areas and high dependent intensive care and intensive treatment units as well as general ward applications.

Designed to meet the ever-increasing challenges of the modern hospital environment and satisfying the highest standards for safety and reliability, the new Innov8 iQ with split side rails gives the acute market access to an affordable, high specification bed equipped for use across the entire patient population.

Also on show will be Sidhil’s Acclaim Flow non-powered hybrid mattress system, designed around the company’s intelligent Air Flow Technology. This self-regulating air displacement and intake system uses the patient’s own body mass and weight to provide the correct surface to optimise tissue viability.

Clinical research indicates that hybrid systems are suitable for patients at high risk of developing pressure ulcers. The Acclaim Flow consists of ten robust, interconnected air filled cells, encased in a foam shell and topped with a special foam layer featuring a unique castellation programme, designed using pressure mapping techniques to give optimum results. A reduced size castellation is designed in to protect the vulnerable heel area.

Inside the air-filled cells, a special foam acts as the catalyst for the system. When the patient enters the bed or moves on the mattress, air either escapes or flows back in to the cells, facilitating the correct levels of pressure redistribution. This automatic adjustment based on the weight and movement of individual patients ensures optimum comfort and reduces the challenges on vulnerable tissue.

Complementing the iQ bed and Acclaim Flow mattress system, Sidhil will also be exhibiting an innovative bedside locker which incorporates a height adjustable tilting table. This table folds back into a special storage position within the locker when not in use.
