The SmartCover monitoring system uses ultrasonic sensors to measure water levels in gravity sewers and lift stations in order to track, record and transmit water levels in real-time and to provide flow estimates at various locations in the sewer collection system.

SmartCover is a wireless self-contained monitoring system with on-board power that is designed for the most extreme environments and is capable of communicating from anywhere on earth directly to a Low Earth Orbit satellite system.

This satellite based communication system does not suffer the signal problems associated with GPRS coverage and has proven success in the UK.

The SmartCover provides continuous data collection for long term trending and sends an immediate alarm directly to end users whenever a customer defined alarm point is reached, enabling users to take immediate action regarding impending overflow events and to prioritize resources.

The simple but highly effective design and operation of the SmartCover system adds value, not complexity; all data is available through a secure website from any computer and there is no proprietary software to purchase.
