It will be the UK’s first large-scale B2B conference of its kind designed for international and national businesses outside of the NEC and London.

The doors open on 8 March 2013 at StadiumMK in Milton Keynes – an important location as more than 50% of British businesses are within a 90-minute journey of this venue. The team are expecting 150 exhibitors and more than 1,000 delegates.

The volunteers all specialise in various forms of promotional and business growth activities and came together following a call to action from Victoria Beale a mother of three and owner of Rapid Sales Solutions.

“Businesses throughout the UK are being encouraged to trade internationally to reduce the impact of national economic fluctuations. This one-day conference is designed to help bridge the knowledge gap between being advised to look for business further afield, knowing how to do it and the implications directors need to be aware of.

“We believe it’s the first of its kind and it’s certainly the first time anything like this has been hosted outside the established venues in London and Birmingham,” explained Vicky, who came up with the initial idea for the event and is also the main organiser.

The Business Expo 3.0 website http://www.national-expo.co.uk was launched on the day of this announcement and contains a movie explaining more about the thought process behind the event.

In addition to exhibitors there will be a line-up of keynote speakers backed by workshops covering keystone topics to bridging the knowledge gap. These include: The Smart City concept – the UK’s international application; Breaking national boundaries with technology; Finding out what’s coming next – bridging the gap between universities, research and business opportunities; Funding business expansion at home and overseas; and an update on the rapidly changing social media, online community landscape.

After costs have been covered, the proceeds of this much-needed event will be divided between World Vision, NSPCC and the MK Dons Sport Education Trust.
