Recently, for example, Wessex Resins & Adhesives a manufacturer of epoxy products asked us to design and manufacture a safe way to lift, move and tilt large, 1100mm-diameter mixing bowls while ensuring the content at the bottom of the bowls could be safely removed to reduce waste.

Getting stuck in

The design team needed to engineer a safe yet simple-to-use manual system that could quickly and efficiently tip out the contents of the mixing bowl. This required:

* Transporting bowls to a location
* Raising lowering and tilting containers to specific heights
* Fixing a bowl's position to remove the contents
* Ease of movement around the manufacturing site

By modifying a Logitrans LF Mini Manual Stacker and designing a bespoke heavy-duty framework with a double hinge system, we created a flexible lifter and tilter for the mixing bowls. Two units were manufactured for different sizes and designs of mixing bowl which not only eliminated any risk of an accident during the mixing operation, but also reduced production time.

The integrity of design and quality of materials makes our products enduring and virtually maintenance free, so if you are looking for a long term, bespoke solution to a drum or materials handling issue, then contact our design team with your requirements and we will come up with the answer.
