The pair is hoping to raise over £10,000 for Cancer Research UK, which is the world's leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research.
Vince Ferguson said “We all will have friends or family who have battled cancer; it has touched all our lives. The positive news is that slowly we are beating this disease and hopefully with the work of the likes of Cancer Research UK it will no longer be a word that we all fear. I am hoping that our cycle challenge will go some small way to raise awareness and plenty of money for our chosen charity”
2 years ago, Vince Ferguson undertook a marathon cycle from his home in Lancashire only to be knocked down by a car near Gloucester resulting in treatment in A & E and an early finish to the event. Hopefully this July will be trouble free.
Peter hasn’t been on a road bike for 25 years so this will be something of an epic task to finish this long ride.
