Cormica Appoints Caroline Aiken as Technical Director to Strengthen Technical Leadership and Client Support
The role has been designed to strengthen technical collaboration across the group and deliver greater value to pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers worldwide.

Appoints Caroline Aiken - Cormica Technical DirectorEffective from June 2026, Caroline will drive the leadership and development of Cormica's technical excellence across its global network of laboratories, helping to align expertise, enhance collaboration between sites, and further improve client experience.
The appointment reflects Cormica's ongoing commitment to delivering integrated scientific support throughout the product lifecycle, enabling manufacturers to access broader expertise, streamlined project delivery, and greater consistency across testing and consultancy.
Caroline brings more than 15 years of experience supporting the pharmaceutical industry within a CRO environment and has successfully led and expanded the Physical Characterisation team at Cormica Bradford over the past eight years. Her expertise spans complex generics, analytical characterisation, and the development of testing strategies that help accelerate product development and regulatory submissions.

In her new position, Caroline will work closely with scientific technical experts, laboratory, commercial and marketing teams across the organisation to strengthen Cormica's technical offering and thought leadership, supporting clients facing increasingly complex regulatory and development challenges.
A key focus will be enhancing collaboration across Cormica's laboratories in the UK, USA, and EU, creating a more seamless experience for customers requiring multidisciplinary support spanning analytical chemistry, microbiology, physical testing, biocompatibility, and regulatory consultancy.
The role will also support the continued development of Cormica's in-house Subject Matter Expert (SME) Programme, which brings together leading specialists from across the organisation to share knowledge, drive innovation, and provide technical leadership in key scientific and regulatory areas. Cormica ensures clients have access to recognised experts who provide guidance on complex technical challenges, evolving regulations, emerging technologies, and best practice throughout the product lifecycle.
