Offering quick and convenient field-testing of hydraulic pump, motor, valve and hydrostatic transmission performance, the DHM displays accurate flow, pressure and temperature measurements in digital format. Notably, users of the new generation testers can now take advantage of Webtec’s QuickCert+ App for iPhone and Android, providing remote access to live readings, while Webtec TrueFlow direction indication provides a clear view of flow direction.

Designed for use in a workshop or outdoors whatever the weather, the DHM is ideal for testing the hydraulics on mobile and industrial machinery. The advanced features of Webtec’s rugged and easy-to-use DHM support the display of power and volumetric efficiency for quicker fault diagnosis. Rapid peak-pressure measurements taken 1000 times a second mean very short spikes do not slip the net. Fast-acting bar charts give immediate visual feedback, ideal when testing the cracking pressure of a relief valve.

The freely available, multilingual QuickCert+ app communicates with the DHM via Bluetooth® wireless technology. The Live view feature provides the operator with the flexibility to see the DHM readings on their ‘phone while working from a different position around the equipment. In just a few keystrokes, QuickCert+ enables the operator to create and send their customer a ‘pdf’ test certificate from the field, using the test data recorded on the DHM.

The third generation DHM features a bigger and better LCD screen which allows users to see more information at the same time including TrueFlow direction indication. The DHM logging function is ideal for creating a pump performance curve, by recording up to 99 test points on a keypress. DHM series testers use turbine flow sensor technology, offering high precision and compatibility, as well as bi-directional flow measurement. Its wireless connectivity, internal memory and real-time visualisation help with advanced diagnostics, commissioning of hydraulic attachments and preventive maintenance. Technicians can access past tests using the QuickCert+ App to quickly gain a clearer understanding of any hydraulic issues.

As Martin Cuthbert, Webtec’s Managing Director commented on the new DHM tester, “we appreciate how frustrating it can be if you are struggling with hydraulic system fault finding. We believe that our new hydraulic tester can help improve efficiency, accuracy, and safety in the field”.

As with all Webtec testers, the DHM features Webtec’s integrated loading valve which gives progressive pressure loading in either direction. Replaceable safety burst discs are part of Interpass® safety protection system and operate if maximum pressure is exceeded, relieving flow to the return line. Replacement safety discs are stored in an internal holder machined in the rear of the flowblock.

There are four different models of DHM available, the maximum rated pressure is up to 480 bar (7000 psi), while flow is up to 800 l/min (210 US g/min) and fluid temperature ranges from 0 to 120°C (32 to 250 F).
