Cross Manufacturing is expanding its capacity for the design and manufacture of precision engineered machined parts, a service which has always benefitted from the company’s established leadership in forged engineering technology.

Employing the latest CNC machining technology, the Cross service claims to offer many benefits, including a turnkey machining solution that eliminates the need for multiple vendors whilst ensuring complete control over quality, cost and lead times.

The Company’s proven working expertise with diverse metals, alloys and superalloys – serving industries including aerospace, automotive, flow control and medical – can be applied to machined component projects ranging from prototypes to high volume production. In-house heat treatment and superfinishing enables the production of high-precision components with exceptional accuracy, meeting industry standards AS9100D and IATF16949.

The list of Cross machinery is impressive. Multi-spindle and sliding head multi-axis high speed lathes deliver precision components with complex geometries. CNC multi-axis milling creates detailed and intricate parts. High precision cutting of difficult materials is provided by wire EDM (electrical discharge machining) whilst grinding and lapping plant ensures ultra-smooth surfaces and extreme accuracy. Vibratory finishing and superfinishing are available for deburring and achieving mirror-like surface finishes. Combined with the above, heat treatment and vacuum hardening enables complete control of end-to-end manufacturing.

Cross products are characterised by their durability, reliability, and performance under extreme conditions, withstanding harsh environments and demanding operational requirements. Combining advanced manufacturing techniques with rigorous quality control processes, the company is committed to continuous improvement and innovation, investing in research and development to stay at the forefront of its industry.
