Teams sent in their video project presentations to the judges in advance, and test pilots from SETPS Gary Konnert and Frank Delsing were able to access the flight simulation laboratory at UD to fly and assess the aircraft designs.

Gary commented ‘ the students did an outstanding job of design given the limitations this year’.

The winner, Hanif Shakiba is from The University of Manchester, runners up were Jacob Montgomery and Calvin Callahan from The University of Dayton. A team from Mississippi State University won the prize for the best project presentation.

The event was sponsored by Merin Flight Simulation Group and The Aviation Historian Magazine.
