In 2014 the UK exported goods worth £6.35 billion to India and services valued at £2.24 billion.

With its vibrant and expanding consumer market of over 1.2 billion people, and with more than a quarter of the world's under 25s, India is slated to be the world's 3rd largest economy by 2030. This makes India an extremely attractive market with broad-ranging opportunities for UK exporters.

It is a vast, price competitive market, with 29 different states and 7 union territories. Each state resembles a separate country, often with its own language, cultural practices and preferences, so planning and local research is needed to be successful.

This event will provide you with:

• Expert advice, latest market developments and key considerations for doing business in India

• An understanding of the Indian business culture and etiquette to assist you to communicate more effectively with your counterparts

• Practical experience of how an East Midlands company successfully entered the Indian market – the challenges they faced and the rewards they enjoy today.

So if you are looking to do business with India, this event is a good place to start!
