The system will embrace its operations in the UK, as well as in North America, India & China. This will provide a new and common platform from which the company can better serve its international customer base.

“This has been a huge but essential change management project for the company to undertake and not merely to replace existing IT systems,” explained Steve Darlington, Chairman of the company and sponsor of the project. “It has involved a significant financial investment but has also taken more than 12 months of preparation, hard work and dedication by our internal Project Team, to whom we owe a sincere vote of thanks,” he added.

The aim of the project was to provide the business with a world class integrated ERP platform and the business processes which will enable Atlas to continually exceed its customers’ expectations. The new system provides a single source of data for all areas of the business which will help to improve the process of management and control of engineering changes.

“A new CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system is also part of the ERP solution which will help to streamline the preparation and delivery of customer quotations and sales contracts,” he confirmed.
