High Demand For Fine Tubes At Paris Air Show

The Paris Air Show is a world-renowned display of the latest innovations in aerospace, and the event generated high interest in the company’s product range of precision aerospace tubing, specifically for the short lead times in the production of seamless titanium hydraulic tubing.

Having supplied the aerospace industry with high performance tubes for over 50 years, Fine Tubes is recognised as a reliable and proven partner for its commitments to its customers. The tube manufacturer has built a reputation for first class product quality and the Paris Air Show provided an exciting opportunity for Fine Tubes to showcase its mission critical tubes.

With high numbers of visitors to the Fine Tubes stand, the company were able to forge great new relationships with other industry leaders at the show.

“The 50th edition of the Paris Air Show has been very successful for Fine Tubes, providing a great platform to network with the aerospace industry’s major players. The meetings at the show indicated strong demand for titanium alloys 3Al2.5V, 4Al2.5V and CP Grade 2 matching our expertise in manufacturing these lightweight products,” reports Charles Ferreira, Business Development Manager of Western Europe who heads up the Fine Tubes office in Orléans.

A highlight of the show was the third test flight of the new Airbus A350 aircraft. Fine Tubes is involved in the development of high-pressure tubes for the new engine of the A350 XWB, which is due to go into service in 2014. Airbus announced new sales for the energy-efficient A350 aircraft plane, with 69 orders and commitments worth $21.4 billion made at the show.

Another great positive was Fine Tubes being awarded supplier approval from SNECMA, the multinational aircraft and rocket engine manufacturer.
Mr Ferreira commented: "...at this year’s Paris Air Show M. Eric Jirnov, SNECMA Raw Material Purchasing Manager, and I concluded the Fine Tubes approval for the supply of high specification tubes for the SNEMCA programme. After two years of hard work from us and SNEMCA, a new and exciting collaboration has begun."
