The Howard de Walden Estate today announces that it has completed three signings within its healthcare portfolio, with Cognacity, Orri and All Points North (APN) all taking space in the Harley Street Medical Area (HSMA), as occupier demand for prime healthcare space remains competitive.

Cognacity, a global expert in mental health and performance, is moving to larger premises in response to increased demand. Cognacity looks after individuals with a wide range of mental health problems including depression, anxiety, stress, alcohol/drug related problems and relationship issues as well as delivering corporate mental health and performance programmes and Executive Coaching across a range of business and elite sport sectors. The new clinic will be located at 22 Welbeck Street following 10 years already spent on Harley Street. The new spaces configuration allows for 50% more clinical consulting rooms, further enhancing the world-class mental health facilities offered across the Harley Street Medical Area.

Speaking about the extended clinic, Dr Phil Hopley, Consultant Psychiatrist and Managing Director of Cognacity commented: “We are delighted to have acquired new premises in the Harley Street Medical Area after 10 years at 54 Harley Street. Both our clients and the Cognacity team love the Marylebone area and are looking forward to remaining part of such an active community, developing opportunities to collaborate and network with our neighbours and fellow HSMA members”.
Orri has recently signed for 80-81 Wimpole Street in the HSMA with Howard de Walden. Orri is a CQC-rated ‘Outstanding’ specialist treatment service for eating disorders. Offering recovery-based, face-to-face treatment - both in person and online - programmes follow a stepped approach so that treatment evolves with each individual as they progress in recovery.

Orri is taking a six-storey building, refurbished to offer purpose-built, trauma-informed therapy spaces for both individual and group work and expects to open in July this year.

Kerrie Jones, CEO and founder of Orri commented: “Orri was founded to offer a new choice of outstanding and innovative treatment for eating disorder recovery. It is for this reason that we were drawn to the Harley Street Medical Area and Howard de Walden for their long-standing community of pioneering healthcare professionals who hold one another accountable to providing expert care.”

APN has also signed for space at 12 Upper Wimpole Street, which opened this month. APN is a whole person health company offering innovative treatment for the mind, body and soul across the full continuum of care. Its unique approach includes integrated, custom care plans and emerging, evidence-based treatments for on-site and out-patient services. Since opening a flagship residence in Edward, Colorado, APN has expanded to include additional locations as well as a state-of-the art APN Connection app to support a lasting commitment to destigmatising mental healthcare and producing long-term results.

“When we first opened APN in the U.S., a large majority of our clients were flying in from the UK and surrounding countries throughout Europe and the Middle East which demonstrates a need for more accessible mental health resources in that region of the world,” said Noah Nordheimer, founder & CEO of APN. “Harley Street is a hub for the UK's behavioral health sector and we are pleased to call London our new home to build the bridge between APN, Europe and the Middle East and start helping a massively underserved market.”

Executive Property Director at The Howard de Walden Estate, Julian Best added: “Demand for space across our healthcare portfolio remains strong and we currently have only two small suites available with some very exciting new healthcare projects underway and in the pipeline. We remain focused on continuing to meet evolving occupier demand and work to ensure our buildings meet the high-quality standards that the Harley Street Medical Area is renowned for.

“These latest signings reflect our continued strategic focus on medical and healthcare and, in particular, a response to the greater awareness of mental health to provide access to first class specialist operators. –sadly, a key issue that needs a concerted effort as up to one in four adults are affected by a mental health issue. It’s an enormous privilege to continue shaping this prestigious community, working closely with tenants to deliver what people really need.”
