Filon Products Announces Significant Long Term Investment Into Mayan Roofing Systems

Filon Products has announced a significant, long-term investment into Mayan Roofing Systems, with the goal of establishing Mayan as “the UK’s most innovative roofing system company.”

Filon says it has been working closely with Mayan, who design, patent, manufacture and distribute high performance roofing products to push the boundaries of GRP production with the highly innovative ArmouredSlate, ArmouredStone and RealRidge roofing systems, which are due to be released imminently.

Mayan says the highly versatile Armoured GRP provides a waterproofing layer beneath any type of slate or stone, enabling installation in the single lap method, which offers at least a 43% material and weight saving over the traditional double lap method. Third party testing at the highly respected and UKAS accredited BRE has proven its high performance at a roof pitch of 10 degrees for natural slates and 17.5 degrees for natural stone.
