Leading Security Print Company Standing TALL In Africa

TALL Security Print, part of the TALL Group of Companies, has this month printed its 700,000th Nigerian university degree certificate. As a recent recipient of the Queen’s Award for International Trade and a proud founding member of the Cheshire Commonwealth Association, the TALL Group’s specialist print arm is on course to further strengthen its operations in Africa. This year also marks 15 years of successful African commerce between the TALL Group and many institutions across the continent.

The new year has already seen a flurry of African client wins with the firm recommitting to supplying educational certificates to KNEC (Kenyan National Education Council) hosts of the 38th Association for Educational Assessment in Africa Conference taking place later in the year in Mombasa. Nigeria will continue to be one of the strongest markets for TALL Security Print in Africa this year, as the company supplies uniquely personalised educational certificates for Universities and Polytechnics throughout the country. One of the drivers behind the new growth in Africa is the much-envied fraud prevention features across the TALL printed product range.

Educational institutions in Somaliland and Malawi have become the latest clients of the TALL Group, whose UK-based staff team of 140 work hard to meet the global demand. Last year saw TALL Security Print sign contracts with 17 universities in Nigeria alone, highlighting its rapidly expanding portfolio in the continent. The first significant international export deal was signed in Nigeria in 2006 , which went on to spark the group’s export business that now operates in America, Africa, Caribbean, Europe, the Middle East and Asia, providing secure solutions for cheque books, ballot papers, cheque scanners, university certificates and an innovative range of electronic payment systems.

In the same month that the group announced its growth in the African market, TALL has confirmed it has issued its 27th million ‘Births, Marriages and Deaths’ certificate for use in the Dominican Republic, fulfilling its longstanding and continuing contract.

The TALL Group now successfully exports to over 20 countries, with products ranging from cheques to vouchers and from certificates to ballot papers for elections around the world. The leading print solutions company is also looking to scoop more awards this year, recently nominated for the PD Ports Northern Powerhouse Export Awards, to add to an enviable trophy cabinet which includes the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade.

The TALL Group is proud to have two DIT Export Champions within the business with Bill Lamb, Group Finance Director based in TALL Security Print, Runcorn, a Northern Powerhouse Champion and Lynton Buxton, Group Marketing Manager based in Checkprint Limited, Hinckley, a Midlands Engine Export Champion. This reflects TALL’s desire to grow its export presence and share its export knowledge with those organisations just embarking on the export journey.
