Geotech was first acquired by QED Environmental Systems in 2016 as part of a move to expand and develop both businesses in an ever-growing market place. Now Geotech is re-branding as QED Environmental Systems to recognise that it is trading as part of the QED group.

There has been great investment in Geotech since 2016 and the rebranding further cements QED’s commitment to working as one single, autonomous business.

The latest announcement comes as the firm relocates to a state-of-the-art premises in Coventry as part of a strategic investment into the region.

The 25,000 sq. ft. facility is a brand-new facility and is now home to over 50 employees. It boasts a newly designed open plan office, kitted out with state-of-the-art equipment including an ISO:17025 calibration laboratory to support the gas instrumentation business.

The new site will serve as the international headquarters for QED Environmental Systems, delivering to Europe and a burgeoning Asian and Middle Eastern market.

Dean Kavanagh, Managing Director at QED, said: “This relocation marks a stepping stone in our drive to build a world class environmental technology business. We are prepared to step up to the challenge and continue to grow our offering to the market place. This latest investment demonstrates the importance placed on the Geotech products by QED Environmental Systems and gives us confidence in our future.

“We took every step for a seamless move to Coventry, which has a rich heritage in manufacturing and engineering.”

To ensure an effortless transition for both customers and distributors alike, the new premises is purpose-built to be an engineering facility to ensure the business maintains and excels all current manufacturing and calibration standards.

The company has alerted customers, distributors and its entire supplier network of the location change and has taken every step to ensure that products sent to the company for calibration are being redirected to the new facility.
