Russell Finex is delighted to have been named Feltham and Heston Responsible Business Champions 2016. The award reflects another year of success for the company, aware of its responsibility as a world-class manufacturer to remain ethical, and support local, national and international causes.

The All-Party Corporate Responsibility Group (APCRG) launched the Responsible Business Champions Scheme last year. The initiative, sponsored by the National Grid, invites MPs from across the UK to nominate an outstanding local business to be their Constituency Responsible Business Champion. Taken into account are factors such as the company's overall impact in its constituency, support for the company's work from local partners and suppliers, and the extent to which it goes beyond what the company is legally or contractually obliged to do, acknowledging corporate social responsibility.

MPs are sent certificates by the APCRG to present locally to their Constituency Responsible Business Champion. Seema Malhotra, MP for Feltham and Heston, visited Russell Finex's Feltham headquarters to present the certificate.
Mrs Malhotra commented, “I am delighted to present this certificate to Russell Finex – a highly valued world-class company in the local community. Their approach to community engagement is a great example to others as we encourage other businesses to get more involved in the local community. It’s vital for how we spread and share opportunity and prosperity.”

Ray Singh, Russell Finex Managing Director, was delighted to receive the award. "At Russell Finex, we remain aware of our responsibility as a leading business, both in the UK and overseas. Therefore, we take an active role in leading our industry with innovative manufacturing practices, whilst ensuring ethical standards are complied with throughout the company.

In addition, Russell Finex supports the local community through charity fundraising events, business knowledge sharing and offer graduate programmes, apprenticeships and employment opportunities to the local area. As well as investing in people, we also understand our environmental responsibility, and have recently installed solar panels to reduce the carbon footprint of our factory in Feltham.”

The award provides another highlight in a successful year for the company, having also won several industry awards and local business awards, as well as being published in the 2015-16 Parliamentary Review as a leading example of outstanding manufacturing practice.
