New Lid Support Design Now Applied To Potable Water Tanks
Dewey Waters Ltd, a market leader in the manufacture of GRP products and water storage tanks were quick to respond to the recent NHS Estates and Facilities Alert EFA/2013/004
The alert highlighted a potential health risk when using hollow PVC-U pipes as lid supports within sectional water storage tanks.
Hollow PVC-U pipes have been common practice within the water storage industry for many years, however following the concern raised in this alert we have invested in developing our lid support design. Dewey Waters Ltd are now the first water storage manufacturer to design, manufacture and receive WRAS approval (NUMBER: 1407549) for a new lid support.
This new lid support design is now applied to all potable water tanks to reflect the current best practise and is available for retro fitting on existing tanks if considered necessary.
