New Appointment Further Strengthens Casella Presence In EMEA And South America

This appointment further strengthens Casella’s presence in the European, Middle Eastern, African (EMEA) and South American markets, where Casella is experiencing increasing demand for its products and services.

In the role of International Sales Manager, Matthew is responsible for supporting existing and new customers in EMEA countries. These markets are experiencing growth in industries such oil & gas, mining, pharmaceutical and construction, and are increasingly implementing occupational health monitoring equipment. Matthew will work alongside distribution partners to effectively specify measuring and monitoring solutions to reduce and combat the health threats experienced by workers in sectors such as these.

“I am really pleased to be joining the Casella team, where I can support EMEA and South American customers to reduce health threats in the workplace, especially those which result from noise and dust,” said Matthew. “Occupational hygiene monitoring equipment is becoming more widely used than ever before in these markets as governments and businesses increasingly understand the importance of not only protecting the safety of a workforce, but their health too.”

Prior to joining Casella, Matthew gained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Wales and a MSc in Instrumental Analytical Chemistry from Anglia Ruskin University. Matthew is also a chartered member of the Royal Society of Chemistry since 2012. Since 2005 he has gained extensive technical sales worldwide experience in a number of roles where he was responsible for sourcing and managing a large global network of distributors.

He is currently studying for a Global MBA with Oxford Brookes University

Matthew’s appointment comes following the retirement of Dennis Sharman, International Sales Manager at Casella. Dennis was a valued member of the Casella team for more than 15 years.
