Business Leaders Urged To Join Debate On How To Boost UK International Trade

The one day summit, entitled “Exporting: If we keep doing what we’re doing….”, is a chance for businesses to hear a powerful line up of speakers as well as help influence and shape the exporting agenda.

Lesley Batchelor OBE, director general of the Institute of Export, said: “With the UK deficit still widening, it’s quite clear we need to change the way we’re supporting exporters if we are to hit the government’s ambitious targets. I would urge businesses to come along, join in a dynamic debate and tell us what needs to change.”

The Institute’s chair Ian Taylor, together with Lesley will be joined by Institute of Export Vice President, Lord Empey OBE, John Burbridge-King of Interchange Solutions Ltd, Bernadette Byrne of thebigword, lawyer Keith Arrowsmith, Nicholas Niggli from the Embassy of Switzerland in the UK and Peter Andrews from the Bank of England.
