The association is managed by its council, which consists of 10 elected representatives of member companies as well as elected officers and the chair of each of the Association’s committees. Geoff’s appointment comes after he was awarded the GTR BExA Young Exporter of the Year accolade at the end of 2013.

Commenting on his appointment Geoff said: ‘I was absolutely thrilled to be asked to be on BExA’s Council. Export is a crucial part of the British economy and in this ever shrinking world it is necessary for companies to look to international markets. BExA is a great hub for companies involved in export to represent our interests and I am looking forward to getting involved in the work of the association.’

Hugh Bailey, Director of BExA said: “Council was delighted to co-opt Geoff at yesterday’s meeting. With his knowledge of the intricacies of international trade, his innovative approach to trading and his experience of African and other markets, Geoff will undoubtedly make an invaluable contribution to Council discussions.”
