This exciting new event will explore how Nigeria, the leading oil producer in Africa, has taken steps to improve loss control on crude oil production. The value of this event can be so significant that it impacts the economy of an entire nation, as well as delivering savings for oil producers in the region.

This is an opportunity for experts to discuss strategically important issues under Chatham House Rule. All attendees will agree to this rule, founded by Royal Institute of International Affairs, which enables speakers to talk freely without attribution. Up to four speakers will each deliver a presentation on their chosen subject. The floor will then be opened to the delegates for discussion. The aim of this event is to create interaction between the delegates and panel members to maximize knowledge transfer and value to all parties during the session.

Our current panel includes:
• Mathias Essien, Head, Instrumentation, DCS & Metering Engrg, Total E&P Nigeria
• Ayabowei C. Okpofaa, Project Lead, NPDC Metering Systems Projects, Nigerian Petroleum Development Company Limited
• Mark Jiskoot, Vice Chairman of API 8.2, E.I. rep to ISO 3171

The provisory subjects we have lined up for the briefing are:
• How an accurate custody transfer sampling system can empower you and your company to obtain better plant management.
• Dealing with contractor and sub-contractor: How to stay in control of your project and the importance of specifications.
• API and ISO standards: Not just boxes to tick but guidelines to protect your business against the cost of inaccuracy.
• How to regulate efficiently when a 0.5% deviation in accuracy means billions of dollars for a nation.
