West Sussex based Ingenia Solutions Ltd, have secured a Multi-Million $ contract with US technology company Rockwell Collins STS in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

The 7 year deal is to supply mechanical components for simulator, training systems and visual displays.

The contract enables Ingenia Solutions to add further engineering resources and staff which, with long-term commitments from Rockwell Collins Inc., means they will expand their current operation in Burgess Hill.

Ingenia already has an extensive capability to design and manufacture special purpose machines and industrial automation systems and counts some of the world’s most prestigious manufacturing companies among its clientele.

Ingenia, formed in 2001, have continued to grow in the last few years despite the subdued manufacturing atmosphere and this new contract award means that exports will now account for over 40% of annual sales.

Machines and automated systems are currently supplied to the US, Europe, the Far East and many new emerging economies as well as more ‘locally’ based manufacturing sites throughout the UK.
