emita’s first event of 2013 will provide you with a captivating insight from leading business thinker, Joe Nellis. He will share with us his predictions on developments in the international business environment over the coming year and beyond, including his view on ten global change drivers, how they affect business and how SMEs operating overseas can respond to these.

A Professor of International Management Economics at Cranfield University and consultant to many UK and international companies, Joe specialises in the fields of strategy and business environmental analysis, strategy formulation and management development, all of which he will touch upon during the evening.

His talk will be followed by our International Trade Question Time, an opportunity for you to question, exchange views and debate with our experts and fellow exporters. Our panellists will include Tony Petersen, East Midlands regional Export Finance Adviser for the Government’s UK Export Finance Department; Karen Harrison, Director and Solicitor in the Commerce and Technology Team at Nelsons Solicitors Ltd and two regional companies currently trading overseas.

The event will commence with registration and light refreshments from 5.00 pm, with the presentations beginning at 5.30 pm. The evening will draw to a close at 7.30 pm followed by a networking buffet supper.

The event will take place on Wednesday 16 January 2013 at The Quorn Country Hotel, Leicestershire.
