UK Pay And Display Machines In Shipment To Malaysia

Pay and Display in MalaysiaThe export order has been won by Swindon-based Metric Group Ltd for an extension of a parking project in a suburb of the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur.

The order for the 27 Elite pay and display machines follows the shipment of 82 similar machines last year to the city of Petaling Jaya and brings the total population of Metric machines in Malaysia to more than 1,000.

The latest batch is being shipped as part of a planned programme for installation in early January 2013.

Metric Group Export Manager Mike Hewett praised the part played by the Metric Group’s Malaysian distributor My One Solution.

He went on: “Local authorities in Malaysia are very keen on the concept of pay and display as a means of controlling the substantial demand for on-street parking.

“This latest shipment is one of many Metric have made to Malaysia over the last 15 years. As far as I am aware, Metric has been selling this type of pay and display technology to Malaysia for longer than almost anyone else.”
