The boat with an overall length of 13.2m is the first of the new ‘Wave Prowler’ class from Alnmaritec and has an asymmetric catamaran hull form developed in conjunction with BMT Nigel Gee. The large comfortable wheelhouse provides suspension seating for a total of eight crew and passengers, WC facilities and is fully air conditioned to cope with the harsh ambient conditions in the Middle East.

The vessel is fitted with the two Cummins QSC 600 hp engines and Rolls-Royce A32 waterjets and demonstrated exceptional performance during sea trials, surpassing expectations with superb handling characteristics and a maximum speed of 42 knots.

Commenting on the contract completion, Chris Millman Managing Director of Alnmaritec said – “We are delighted with the performance of the new boat which is the fastest vessel we have built to date; I am hopeful that this will provide a reference point for further developments of high speed craft from Alnmaritec.”
