Technical Absorbents will take a stand at WETEX, which will be held at the Dubai Convention Centre between 13 and 15 March.

WETEX is positioned as the ideal platform for progressive organisations and professionals in energy, water and environment management, to share and exchange ideas that can transform the future of communities, economies and nations. It is expected that over 1,000 companies will participate and attract over 15,000 visitors.

TAL will have a booth on the UK pavilion, which is being organised by British Water and has a prime site at the venue. It will use the event to promote its technology as a water management solution, with particular focus on water barrier fabrics.

TAL will be showcasing a number of existing and new development products, including its SAF based water blocking membrane fabric technology. The fabric offers a high performance water-blocking function in an easy to handle and install fabric format.

“In 2010 we appointed Al-Bulooge General Trading Co, based in Kuwait as our agent for the GCC region, to help introduce our innovative technology to the market. We are currently engaged in a number of development projects with key players in the region,” explains Business Development Manager Dave Hill.

“We are now supporting this work with a stand at WETEX and expecting a busy three days. We will be able to demonstrate how our SAF technology works and will display a selection of our existing and development products. In the water barrier markets our fabrics can be used for many different applications, including reservoir liners, building insulations, deep construction insulations and road and motorway construction.

“Our membrane fabrics are lightweight, easy to handle and install, which are important features to those working on demanding civil engineering projects. Another important and unique property is that they are self-sealing and so require no additional edge protection or bonding.

“SAF technology is also used by many different markets, including filtration and so we would like to invite anyone who is looking for a water management solution to visit the UK pavilion, stand C42.”
