The range now includes rotary sealers, shuttle, carousel and conveyor type sealing presses.

The popular model – 1518BSP blister sealing press – with its maximum sealing
(or jig) size of 15” x 18” (380mm x 450mm) is available in both rotary and
inline conveyor variants. The rotary heat sealers can be either 2, 4, 5, or 6 station, depending on the packing requirements of the user. The inline conveyor blister sealers version usually is fitted with 24 sealing trays with the option of sealing alternate stations and so reducing the number of jigs used.

Inexpensive tools and quick changeover are standard features of Ridat blister
sealing equipment. The indexing of all automatic blister sealing models uses a geared motor and electronic inverter controlled by microprocessor. The contact heat system with its electronic control is accurate and provides for consistent seal of blister onto adhesive-coated card or film media.

Ridat models now offer the facility to add-on modules like blister de-nester, card placement, reel feed for film backing and pack removal. Additionally, it’s becoming common to incorporate two-card placement stations so that the blister containing the product can be encapsulated during sealing and thereby making for easier recycling of the packaging material.

Ridat also offers a high-speed precision index inline blister sealing conveyor system with an unique twin sealing station, so that it can operate at speeds of up to 25 cycles/minute. The twin sealing operation eliminates the need for extra heat and pressure, thereby avoiding scorching and/or indentation on the backing media, which is prevalent with other manufacturers.

One of the recent deliveries of a model 1518 4 station rotary blister sealer was to Boa (UK) Ltd – blister packing hand tool and power tool accessories. Brian Alexander, MD, commented that when the company’s packing volumes increased, he had no hesitation in getting another Ridat rotary blister sealer.

“We have always found that the Ridat blister sealers with quick tool changes allow us to carry out a number of jobs in a day, the machine specification makes setting up easy and we are able to upgrade when we need to; we also looked at the overall running cost and the Ridat came out very well, and the delivery and installation went without a hitch, so for price and performance it’s a winner.”

Ridat manufactures probably the widest range of thermoforming machines (including blister forming) that are known for superior performance at competitive prices.
