The transfer process has already been actively under way for several weeks but Monday will represent the business’ first official day of operations at the new 3.25-acre Balmacassie site.

The relocation to the large, modern, purpose-built headquarters has been driven by our commitment to realise our global growth potential in the long-term.

Managing Director Bruce Bultitude says: “We are of course sad to be moving away from Fraserburgh, where our company has such long-standing and deep-rooted connections. However our facility there was, in truth, compromising our growth objectives in the modern-day international business environment.

As a progressive, forward-looking enterprise, we had to create a new complex that would allow us to enhance our operational capabilities for our customers around the world – and we have done so at Balmacassie.

Our new geographical location will also, crucially, give us access to new skills pools, helping us to overcome the recruitment issues we have faced in recent years.

Having said that, it is fantastic that all of our Fraserburgh personnel will remain part of the Power Jacks success story by continuing with us. The commitment and support of our staff have been absolutely pivotal to the efficient execution of the relocation project.

I want to pay tribute to everyone associated with the move – including those who have managed and co-ordinated the exercise, and our staff project team – for serving to turn our ambitions into reality.

These are exciting times for everyone associated with Power Jacks. I look forward to engaging with as many of our stakeholders as possible – staff, customers, distributors and suppliers – over the coming months to ensure we can all enjoy the greatest possible benefits from this new era.”

The new Ellon facility consists of a 40,000 sq ft (3,716 sqm) manufacturing and assembly facility with associated warehousing, and 10,000 sq ft (930sqm) of office space to accommodate the design and production engineering, sales, marketing and administration functions.

A series of open days at Balmacassie is being planned for customers, distributors and other interested parties – details will be confirmed in the near future.
