The terminal, currently under construction in the Persian Gulf, will enable Iraq’s oil export capacity to be boosted by 2.7 million barrels per day.

Due to the importance of this measurement location to Iraq, the financial risk from measurement errors and the complex nature of water measurement for this type of application, the CoJetix systems are being supplied as fully integrated packages. They will be delivered to the metering systems contractor who will integrate the CoJetix packages within the custody transfer metering systems for onward delivery to Iraq. These six CoJetix systems will further increase the installed base of JISKOOT custody measurement systems in Iraq.

Custody transfer sampling systems are a vital, and often overlooked, component of custody transfer metering packages. They are used to determine the water content of the crude oil delivered, which is a key component of the ‘hydrocarbon accounting’ for an export facility.
