Two of the most sought-after and versatile foils are aluminium and copper.
Aluminium foils are available in more than 80 sizes and thicknesses, the thinnest being 0.0008mm. These foils are typically used for R&D projects involving insulation, electromagnetic shielding, analytical applications, etc.
Copper foils are available in more than 120 sizes and thicknesses, the thinnest being 0.0005. Typical uses include EMI/RFI shielding, heat exchange and flexible circuitry. The company can supply smooth surface and grain structure for dynamic, flexible circuitry applications, as well as various degrees of surface roughness for electrodeposited applications.
Both metals are also available as Microfoil, ultra-thin foil deposited onto a substrate by means of plasma vapour deposition. In addition, Goodfellow can coat metal and glass substrates with aluminium or copper.
