Cross Manufacturing Strengthens Aerospace Capability with AS9100 Certification Across All Manufacturing Sites
Cross Manufacturing has announced that its Devizes North site has successfully achieved AS9100 certification, completing a key stage of the company’s strategic expansion

The accreditation follows the expansion programme announced in 2025, which set out plans to increase capacity and capability for the design and manufacture of precision engineered high temperature metallic sealing rings, retaining rings, brush seals and machined components. A cornerstone of that programme was to bring the North site in line with the company’s other manufacturing locations, which already operate to AS9100 aerospace quality standards.
AS9100 certification further underpins Cross Manufacturing’s ability to deliver complex aerospace and defence components produced from specialist metals, alloys and superalloys. These capabilities are supported by proprietary wire rolling and forming processes and extensive in house facilities including advanced CNC machining, vacuum hardening, heat treatment and superfinishing. This integrated end-to-end capability allows projects to be supported from initial prototype through to high volume production.
Cross Manufacturing Director Martin James commented: “Achieving AS9100 accreditation at our Devizes North facility is a significant milestone in developing our capabilities and capacity. Together with our existing IATF 16949 automotive accreditation, which we have maintained for over 20 years, and the company’s strong aerospace expertise, this provides a solid foundation for the future. It allows us to better align the shared priorities of these two industries, bringing quality and efficiency closer together and strengthening the service we deliver to our customers.”
This achievement is complimented by Cross Manufacturing’s commitment to responsible and sustainable operations. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles remain central to company strategy, supported by ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 environmental and energy management approvals.
Further certification developments are planned at the site beyond 2026, with NADCAP special processes a key focus, leveraging established aerospace process capability transferred from the company’s other manufacturing sites. Cross Manufacturing continues to invest in a future defined by performance, responsibility and long term customer confidence.
