Expansion at Cross Manufacturing addresses burgeoning Aerospace activity

The plan is to meet increasing demands from the industry for aerospace and defence applications.

A cornerstone of the plan is the expansion of AS9100 accreditation to all three Cross manufacturing plants, giving all sites equal aerospace approved quality standards. This is complemented by continuous investment in machinery and advanced equipment to support aerospace capabilities.

The company’s proven working expertise with metals, alloys and superalloys is applied to diverse processes including proprietary wire rolling and forming and NADCAP special processes, encompassing projects ranging from prototypes to high volume production. In-house vacuum hardening, heat treatment and superfinishing enables the production of high-precision components with exceptional accuracy.
These activities are fully supported by experienced design engineers, process engineers, quality engineers and continuous improvement practitioners. Overall, the Cross service claims to offer many benefits, ensuring complete control over quality, cost and lead times.

Cross Manufacturing is also focussed on the ethical basis of its operations, with CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) compliance being a key part of the company strategy. The company holds ISO14001 and ISO50001 environmental and energy management approvals, with further developments in certification planned for 2026 and beyond.
