The Farnborough International Airshow is taking place on 22nd - 26th July.

This year’s Farnborough aims to support the industry by acting as a catalyst for positive, future-focused change that will steer the trajectory of aerospace, space and defence for the next decade. To meet these challenges Cross is already helping customers achieve greater sustainability by delivering enhanced performance and efficiency.

Cross has been involved in the design, test and manufacture of aerospace engine sealing and retaining rings for over 80 years, during which time they have developed the capability of providing sealing solutions tailored to deliver superior performance under the demanding conditions encountered in aircraft gas turbines. In addition, Cross has pioneered the development of brush seals, delivering enhanced performance for new engines and existing engine upgrades.
Extensive design and production facilities utilise methods and special-purpose equipment developed in-house, facilitating the manufacture of seals precisely matched to each aerospace application.

Cross offers a complete package for design and manufacture of its sealing, retaining and brush seal products, including the detailed design of customised grooves and housings. The choice of materials can be complex and advice is offered based on test results from the Cross in-house metallurgical laboratory as well as experience of making rings in different alloys for a diverse range of conditions.
