Depot assistant Shane Matthews has joined Jamie Whyatt, the company’s dedicated service engineer, at the base in Old Mill Lane Pratling Street. Shane said: “It’s a great new challenge and the best move I have ever made. I can develop my skills and grow with Morris Site Machinery as the company grows.”

Shane, aged 34, previously worked at Balfour Beatty, where Jamie was a colleague, and was later employed at Eurotunnel as a customer service advisor.

The Aylesford depot is well located to serve the company’s South East customer base. It is also a hub to support Morris Site Machinery’s European and overseas ambitions for its range of equipment from welders to generators, pumps, pressure washers and lighting towers.

Jamie Whyatt, who manages the site, said: “We have seen growing demand for our servicing and we can also supply parts and provide new machines. By delivering first-class customer service we are confident that our reputation will spread by positive word of mouth and recommendation.

“We are targeting a wide range of customers, from the rail sector to events hire, and businesses of all sizes from sole traders upwards. We have market leading brands and our aim is to help our customers bring equipment back into use which may otherwise be out of action for want of repairs or servicing, and even extend the life of the machine from new with warranty back-up.”

The depot in Aylesford is open daily with customers able to collect repaired machines and get them back out onsite quickly. Morris Site Machinery can also carry out work for customers’ equipment onsite and with its Valued Service Packages it offers further aftersales protection for its brands, ArcGen, SMC, Hilta and Denyo.

The new depot is located one mile from Junction 6 of the M20 motorway so is highly accessible to the national motorway network. It also benefits from being 35 miles south east of London and 40 miles west of the Channel Ports.

Morris Site Machinery continues to invest in the business through its premises, its staff and systems to enhance production and deliver quality products and services to its customers.
