The Ambassador made a short speech about the benefits of the Water Technology Alliance (WTA).

The Ambassador explained how the Alliance is successfully sharing important Danish knowledge and competences within the water and wastewater sectors. He commented on how wastewater treatment facilities in Denmark are already well on their way to becoming actual power plants, contributing to the energy market, with several Danish operations now energy-positive.

Soren Rasmussen, Director of Landia, Inc, said: “We were honoured to welcome the Ambassador, who was warmly welcomed by a large number of interested parties at WEFTEC. The Ambassador’s enthusiasm for the good things our industry can achieve is inspiring”.

He added: “The Water Technology Alliance has held a series of workshops in Illinois over the past year, during which Landia and other wastewater treatment specialists from Denmark have offered solutions and presented ideas based on real-time controls. Among those solutions are, for example, how to reach energy neutrality without compromising the quality of water treatment. The collaborative spirit behind the WTA initiative will hopefully lead to even more efficient wastewater treatment to the benefit of the environment and us all”.
