Landia Chopper Pumps Head To Grand Canyon
Landia has won an important order to supply six of its highly durable non-clog chopper pumps to South Rim Wastewater Treatment Plant at the Grand Canyon, one of the natural wonders of the world
Receiving a gravity-fed daily average of half a million gallons of wastewater from domestic and industrial users, South Rim WWTP is managed by the National Park Service, based at Flagstaff, Arizona.
With the help of volunteers and park partners, The National Park Service (established 1916) safeguards more than 400 places, preserving local history, celebrating local heritage, and creating close to home opportunities for kids and families to get outside, be active, and have fun.
Attracting over 4 million visitors each year, the Grand Canyon has a unique water management system, which is vital to its sustainability. The Landia chopper pumps are manufactured with a design-life of 20-plus years.
