The Sheffield-based manufacturer will be raising awareness of its depot maintenance products at the Middle East Rail Exhibition in Dubai – the area’s largest rail conference.

Sales engineer, Lee Pitts, will be showcasing Mechan’s equipment on February 4 and 5 within the British Pavilion at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (stand M20). The firm is attending the event as part of a delegation of transport industry experts, organised by UK Trade and Investment, who aim to promote the country’s innovative, high quality products.

Lee said: “The Middle East has a very active rail sector and we are looking forward to meeting new contacts, as well as catching up with old friends. Mechan is well represented across the region, through our network of independent agents and has already worked on key projects, such as the Cairo Metro Line Three. This is an opportunity to highlight the developments we have made recently and underline the diversity and reliability of our lifting technology.”
