The event is to be held at the Nusa Dua Convention Centre in Bali, Indonesia, on November 12-14th, 2013. The closing date for submission of abstracts is May 31st.

The conference will focus on the opportunities and challenges presented by ISO 55000, the first international standard for best practice in the management of physical assets, which is due for publication by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in 2014.

Jazimah Abdul Majeed of co-organiser EA Technology said: “With ISO 55000 imminent, the event will be a valuable and timely opportunity to share knowledge and experience on all aspects of physical asset management. It will specifically embrace the latest thinking from world-leading experts on how to make assets perform better and manage costs in a world of rising overheads, ageing assets and increasing demands from stakeholders.

“We welcome participation from all professionals involved in the management of asset-intensive industries, including but not limited to: electricity, oil and gas, water, airports, ports, railways, transport, infrastructure and process / manufacturing.”

In addition to two days of presentations, it will feature an exhibition showcasing the services of asset management specialist companies. There are also opportunities to sponsor parts of the event.
