Stroud Instruments Launch New Low Cost Hand-Held Current Loop And Voltage Calibrator
Designed with process instrumentation and control and automation systems integrators in mind, the calibrator provides current outputs in the range 0 - 20mA and voltage outputs in the range 0 - 10V.
By connecting the calibrator in place of the signal transmitter or transducer, instruments such as signal converters, recorders, panel meters, trip amplifiers, etc. can be set up and checked for accuracy under controlled conditions.
In 20mA current sink mode the calibrator will simulate two-wire transmitters.
Key features:
• Source milliamps and volts
• Simulate two-wire transmitters (current sink mode)
• Three set-points provide fast selection between full-scale, zero and dial setting
• Dial setting stored when switched off
• Two speed dial setting
• 0.1% resolution
• Direct reading display mA / Volts
• Battery powered (universal mains power supply option)
The CAL-2 is supplied with a set of test leads, batteries and a synthetic rubber protective boot. The protective boot has a flip out stand – useful for test bench fault-finding work. An optional universal mains power adapter is also available.
