As the trade association representing the UK's private security industry, the British Security Industry Association (BSIA) and its dedicated Export Council play a vital role in forging productive trade links between UK security companies and overseas buyers from around the world. This year's Safety and Security Asia event will be no exception, with the BSIA and many of its members on hand to provide advice and guidance on the latest products and services that the UK has to offer.

"With UK security exports growing steadily year-on-year, creating and maintaining links with overseas buyers and distributors is essential to our industry," comments Caroline Strickley, Export Services Executive at the BSIA. "Safety and Security Asia is a key date in our calendar, providing an opportunity for our members to engage with these audiences and position the UK as a leading force in global security provision."

Members of the BSIA's Export Council will be showcasing a range of products and services at this year's event, including:

John Davies, Managing Director at TDSi Ltd: “TDSi, a global leader in access control systems for all sizes of businesses and organisations will be appearing at Safety and Security Asia 2011 in Singapore. The company will be launching true IP integration between TDSi’s EXgarde security software and the Texecom Intruder Alarm solution.

Visitors will also be granted a preview of TDSi’s exciting new DIGIgarde Plus, a three-factor IP65 biometric reader, which gives superb levels of security combined with convenient use, that is designed to be used for straightforward access control as well as Time & Attendance applications.

TDSi will also be demonstrating the power of integrating access control and security technology with demonstrations of its EXgarde software platform with CCTV systems and the company’s VUgarde NVR software platform.
Tony Smith, Major Accounts and Marketing Manager at Integrated Design Ltd: We are exhibiting at Safety and Security Asia this year as are part of the British pavilion with the BSIA. Asia is a strong market for us and much of our business in the region is delivered and serviced by our partner in Singapore. As well as many installed products in Singapore itself, we also support sales and service into China, India, Taiwan and Malaysia. As a recipient for the Queens Award for International Trade this export market is a key to our strategy in the region.

“We will be launching two new products into the Asian market, A new Fastlane Glassgate turnstile and a new Compact Optical Door Detective anti-tailgating pedestal alongside a display of our award winning Fastlane and Door Detective products. The support of the BSIA’s Export Council is invaluable.”
With the stringent checks that the BSIA conducts on its members, overseas customers can rest assured that they will receive only the best service, despite being located in a different country, with the BSIA Export Council an ideal first port of call for anybody interested in developing a relationship with a UK company, either as a customer or distributor.
