Chemique Launches New Aerospace Adhesives At Aircraft Interiors Expo

All of the adhesive products and systems have been developed specifically for aerospace applications.

The show will be held at the Hamburg Messe and Congress Centre from 10 – 12 April, and visitors to the Chemique stand – 4UD71 – will have the opportunity to discover for themselves the capabilities and benefits of Aerotak adhesives. Demonstrations of foam-to-foam bonding will be provided throughout the show in an on-stand spray booth.

The Aerotak range includes solvent-based and water-based adhesives that are ideally suited for use in the manufacture of aircraft seat covers and cushions.
Also included in the range are a variety of flammable and non-flammable formulations suitable for style pad manufacturing. They offer convenient, versatile and easy-to-use options for bonding combinations of fabric, leather, foam, e-leather and scrim materials into style pads utilising a hot press stamping method.

Another high-performance product to be showcased on the stand is a foam and fabric adhesive, designed for aircraft seat fabrication, bonding all grades of non-polystyrene foams, including fire-retardant types. This results in a soft glue line, with a strong bond that is extremely versatile.

All of the adhesives in the Aerotak range meet the stringent flammability certification requirements of CS 25.853(a) Amdt.16 App.F Pt.I(a)(1)(ii) & (b)(4).

Throughout Aircraft Interiors Expo, experts from Chemique will be available on the stand to demonstrate and answer questions about the company’s new products, to discuss individual requirements, and to provide advice on the selection and use of adhesives for applications in the aerospace sector.
